Warm and fuzzy

On a whim last night I decided to call the mom of my little buddy that I used to take care of. So glad I did. She was very happy to hear from me and actually asked if I wanted to do private duty care. Umm yeah of course I will. Stopped by to visit them this afternoon and the youngest one came running down the stairs to give me a big hug, I was barely in the door. My buddy is doing well, adjusting to a Gtube, but totally missing being able to eat....that boy loves his food.

Its so comforting to know that I have made a difference in their lives and have left such a good impression. I love being able to say that. And I loved it even more when Mom said to me...Damn girl you look good. Ah family. :-)

Happiness is...

Knitting, thunderstorms, a clean room, Thai food, freakin awesome grade on a test, and knowing that the weekend is almost here.

Starting a knitting group at school. So fun, getting to teach new people how to knit and crochet.

Got out of class early so I decided to clean my room and rearrange furniture. It looks so nice now, no piles of clothing all over the place.

And I kicked some serious butt on a test that compromised 16 chapters and 800 plus pages of reading. I think the pieces are starting to come together.

Hospital orientation for clinical tomorrow morning. I get to wear my sexy scrubs. :-)

So much time and so little to do.

Wait a minute. Strike that. Reverse it.

One class down for summer semester and I survived with a solid B. This makes me happy. The next class starts tomorrow. Front loaded with information. 30 plus chapters for class plus lab information and reading in the first 2 and a half weeks. Then we start clinical and I can't wait. I am looking forward to putting my knowledge and skills to the test. But we will see, talk to me in August.

Going camping for three nights July 4th weekend in Maine. Danielle found us a great place and I can't wait.

My next final is the 15th of August and I plan on packing my car the night before and leaving for Toronto about 30 seconds after I am done with the test. Staying one night outside of Syracuse. Its about 5 hours worth of driving and then the next morning its about 4 hours to the museum. A week and a half of glorious vacation, by myself. Going to take some time to explore Toronto on my own and of course spend some time in the shop at the museum. This is the first time I won't be home for my birthday. But I am sure the guys will make sure I have a great day anyway. There has been some talk about a Suicide cake....yummmmmm....5 layers of chocolatey goodness.

Then when I get back, I have 4 days to do laundry, grocery shopping and pack for the next camping trip. Our annual Labor Day trip. This year we found a place in Conway NH, which should be fabulous. 10 of us for a weekend on the river in the woods.

Will try to update as the fun happens, but with school.... who knows.
