Steph has fabulous taste!

This is the beautiful and funky fun yarn that Steph got me for my birthday. I can't wait to see the project I make with it. She suggested a scarf. I think she is right.

A month late

Finally took pictures of the yarn dad "bought" me for my birthday. Lovely Lorna's Laces for my Clapotis shawl. I saw this shawl a year or so ago in a yarn shop in Maine and fell in love. I just couldn't justify the cost of the yarn, but dad told me to pick something out for my birthday. So I did. Found a wonderful yarn store (LettuceKnit) in Toronto that I have a feeling I will be frequenting once I move up there. Its in a very eclectic neighborhood. Wonderful yarns.....I was in heaven. Would have brought home the entire store if I could have.

I started the Clapotis shawl from knitty.com, but I haven't gotten too far yet. Its one of those items that I have to be very awake to work on.

I like this.

I'm the girl who will put her head on your shoulder, not because she's sleepy, but because she wants to be closer to you...

I'm the girl who likes to be kissed in the rain, more than inside your bedroom or in an expensive restaurant...

I'm the girl who says,"okay, but you owe me..." jokingly not because I actually want something, but because it means I get to spend more time with you...

I'm the girl you can take absolutely anywhere and I will (or at least try to) have fun because it means I am spending time with you...

I'm the girl who is incredibly picky, but when I find someone I like I want to spend the whole night curled up in their arms...

I'm the girl who never forgets all the sweet little things you do for me...

I'm the girl who actually keeps her body parts in her clothing in public...

I'm the girl who never gives up hope even when I tell others I have...

I'm the girl who once I let you into my heart, there's always a place there with your name on it.

Even if we spend time apart, i'm the one who never forgets you

I'm the girl who loves to end a hug with a kiss...

I'm the girl who you can talk to about anything...

I'm the girl who laughs at your jokes...

I'm the girl who will have many inside jokes with you and will remember each one...

I'm the girl who will brag about you to all of my friends...

I'm the girl who will listen to you talk...

I'm the girl who really does want to be friends after a break up...(IF WE DO)

I'm the girl who loves it when you hug me for no apparent reason...

I'm the girl who loves you for you, and doesn't care what other people say about us...

I'm the girl who loves it when you hug me from behind or kiss me on the forehead..

I'm the girl who loves it when you introduce me to your friends as your girlfriend...

I'm the girl who loves the feeling when you take me by the hand without saying a word...

RJ, the bun stealing raccoon.

I must say the movie Over the Hedge depicts campground raccoons quite accurately. The first night there we were visited by RJ. He stole an entire bag of hot dog buns. The little bastard. Also made Danielle and I paranoid so we ended up grilling burgers while we were standing on the picnic table. Then we bought stuffed Mooses....Moose...Mice....not sure of the plural of Moose. We each needed a cuddle buddy. And as cute as RJ was, I can't imagine him being altogether cuddly and or willing to cuddle either.

The rest of the weekend was spent shopping in Conway. Well they shopped and I looked at trains. For my railroad buddies (No one else will understand this), there was a slight bit of foam. Then we had the feast Saturday night that included ice cream and applesauce. Apparently RJ liked the smell of ice cream, cause he came back. We scared him up a tree. See above picture.

Sunday we went for a hike and I played in the river...well what is left of the river. Its been super dry so there wasn't much water.

Again the drive home kind sucked. No traffic for a while, we stopped for lunch and then all of a sudden...poof....traffic. Ah well. Got home in one piece, speed unloaded the car and then sat down to read a million pages of psych for Monday morning.

I did make one phone call, but someone forgot to charge his cell phone. Hopefully he made it safely halfway across the globe.
